The Blake Dawson Graduate Development Program
We offer a 12 month program which aims to facilitate your transition into a commercial law firm environment and ultimately, your preferred area of practice. It also seeks to provide a strong foundation for your career through the firm based on legal skills and knowledge of our supporting processes whilst at the same time creating for the firm a body of strong future leaders with knowledge of its culture and strategic goals.  The heart of the Graduate Development Program is experience in three major practice areas or "rotations", supported by the supervision of a partner and supervising lawyer as well as a formal appraisal at the end of the rotation.

Graduate Recruitment 

Blake Dawson will be intaking approximately 12 Graduates in February 2009. We purposefully recruit from both our Summer Clerk and open Graduate market for our Graduate intake each year to ensure we are giving all students the opportunity to secure a position at Blake Dawson. Summer Clerk Recruitment

Blake Dawson will be intaking approximately 20 Summer Clerks in December 2008 when they will do 2 x 2 week rotations prior to Christmas. We will be looking to place students through the Summer Clerk recruitment process with applications closing Wednesday 10 September and offers made Wednesday 8 October as per the Summer Clerk Recruitment Guidelines. QLS Legal Careers Expo

Blake Dawson will be attending the QLS Legal Careers Expo on Monday 28 July with past Graduates speaking to students at 2.50pm in the Connaught Room. Their specific topic is 'First Day on the Job - tips and tricks' however should students have any questions they should feel welcome to ask at the time. Otherwise one of the many Blake Dawson Lawyers, Graduates or People Development team attending the booth will be happy to speak with them.
