International Humanitarian Law Moot
(IHL)

International humanitarian law is 'a set of rules which seek to limit the effects of armed conflict on people and objects.' Often called the 'law of war', it aims to protect certain categories of people affected by war through the implementation of international treaties and conventions.

The Red Cross organisation is fundamental in raising awareness and educating people in this area of law and they work hard to support people suffering because of war.

The aim of the Red Cross IHL Moot is to raise awareness to students about the different issues in this area of law and its importance as a fundamental principle of international law.
